Sonex builder Casey Cooper has developed and refined this cooling kit to withstand the toughest cooling challenges, regularly flying at his home base in Tucson, Arizona and making three trips to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh in 2021, 2022 and 2023 during the hottest time of the year.
Cooling Kit pricing starts at $1,350 with additional options available. Casey is willing to work with each builder individually to tailor the best solution for their aircraft. This cooling kit is designed to work with Sonex/Rotax engine mounts and existing Sonex cowlings for both A-Model and B-Model aircraft, along with the Toucan Exhaust System devleoped for Sonex installations. This package retains the aerodynamic integrity of the Sonex cowling, keeping the installation low-drag and giving great performance.
