Congratulations to 15 year-old Sonex builder Isaac Shultz, who is featured in the April issue of EAA Sport Aviation, in the monthly “What Our Members are Building/Restoring” section of the magazine. Through the use of a GoFundMe campaign and many hours of hard work earning money mowing lawns and detailing cars in his neighborhood, Isaac was able to acquire a Sonex kit. He’s made much progress on the kit, getting up early to do schoolwork so that he has time to build in the evenings, and hopes to use the aircraft to spread his passion for aviation to more young people.
Issaac will be holding a forum about his build during Sun ‘n Fun 2018 on Wednesday, April 11 at 9am in room CFAA-2.
