Most builders tell us about their first flights right away, but some are so busy having fun flying their aircraft that they forget to tell us! “My apologies for the delay, the first flight of my Sonex took place four years ago in Jan 2014 and has now completed 350 hrs,” writes Brian and Chris Ham of Melbourne Australia. “It is kit #1202 and took 5 yrs to build and is constructed as a tail dragger with a Jabiru 6 cyl 3300 engine. It was a pleasure to build and I have enjoyed every hour of flying it.” Among some of the special touches added to the aircraft are custom metal wing tips and tail tips! Our congratulations goes-out to the Hams, and a set of Gold Wings are on the way!
