Congratulations to Duncan Ketcher of Prescott, Arizona whose standard gear, UL Power UL350i powered Sonex-B (S/N SNB0019) flew for the first time on March 11th! “The airframe and engine handled and performed well,” writes Duncan, “Power is from a ULPower 350i engine (118hp at 3300 rpm), driving a Sensenich ground adjustable propeller. The airframe/engine combination appears to be well matched and the engine is smooth. The ULPower engines look beautifully built and are wonderfully simple to operate with only a throttle, the engines are fuel injected and electronically controlled, no mixture or carb heat. The Sonex is very well mannered on the ground and I look forward to many happy landings.” Gold Wings are on the way to Duncan!
