Waiex W0083
Waiex #083, ZK-WYX, took to the air for the first time on 7th June 2018 from Whitianga airfield with Alan Coubray at the controls (Alan is builder of Sonex #689 which first flew in August 2007).
Alan reported the aircraft flew as expected and without any issues.
Chris and I were stoked!
We understand #083 is the first Waiex to fly in New Zealand.
I would like to offer huge thanks to major co-builder, Chris Wade, for his significant effort and excellent workmanship.
Chris and I would like to thank Sonex for the great kit and quality set of plans. We hardly required any support and when we requested it we received immediate responses.
Thanks also to Alan for his encouragement along the way and for conducting the first flight.
