Waiex 77, aka Miss Gypsy, flew for the first time Monday evening August 15th from my 1200 ft grass runway by test pilot Brian Taylor. He flew the Aerovee powered Waiex for about 30 minutes, all engine function worked great and no changes were needed with the controls. I like to thank my wife (Miss Gypsy) for helping build the plane, Brian for being the test pilot and my instructor, Lowell Farrand my EAA Technical Counselor, Kerry Fores from Sonex for aircraft questions, and my friend "Dink" for all his encouragementMiss Gypsy and I look forward to many fun hours after Phase I is complete.
