My standard kit took 2.5 years and around 1200 hours to complete, all in a one car garage. I built my Waiex to be simple, inexpensive and fun! It is Day/Night VFR capable and I installed a MGL Xtreme Mini EFIS and FL-760 Comm.
The Waiex first flew with an AeroVee, later upgraded to a turbo AeroVee, and then reverted back to the regular ArroVee. In early 2019 a Jabiru 3300 was installed for maximum performance capability.
These airplanes are a blast to fly, and you will often find me flying my Waiex through the skies of central Ohio!
