I received my kit May 8th, 2009. Started working on the rudder May 12th. Officially called it complete on June 16th, 2010. Total of 738.75 hours. Got it's Airworthy Certificate on July 9th. I've really enjoyed the building experience and now looking forward to flying!!
06-07-12: Sence the first flight I've painted the cowling, wing tips and wheel pants. Installed the gear farings and wheel pants. Added a air/oil separator and the rear baggage bag. I also have a 12 gallon seat tank which gives be about 5 hours flying if I want. I now have 147 hours on the plane and have injoyed every minute. Just completed the inital polishing last weak. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. A couple of months ago I installed the Great Planes disk brakes, which I really injoy, and today finished refitting the gear farings and wheel pants. 07-01-17. After 7 years of flying and with 257 hours on the hour meter, I finally painted my plane. I also changed the cowling to the horizontal cut, did the swing back canopy and changed from the duel stick to the center stick. I wanted something different so went with a camouflage paint scheme.
