Sonex Aircraft, LLC Offers New Discount Incentive
for Sonex and Waiex Tail Kit Builders

Sonex Aircraft, LLC is pleased to announce a new Sub-Kit discount incentive for Sonex or Waiex Tail Kit purchasers! Builders who begin construction with the purchase of a Tail Kit may receive a $2,000 discount for purchasing all remaining Sub-Kits in a single purchase. For many builders who wish to use a Tail Kit to preview Sonex Aircraft kits, this new Bulk Purchase Discount incentive narrows the gap between the cost of a Sonex or Waiex Complete Airframe Kit with Machined Angle Component upgrade and the cost of Sub-Kit building (Machined Angle Components are included in all Sonex and Waiex Sub-Kits).

 “Sonex and Waiex Sub-Kits were originally intended for builders who wish to spread their construction costs over-time, however, we have received feedback from many builders who intend to use our Tail Kits as a way to preview Sonex and Waiex kits and plans, and gain confidence in their building skills before committing to a purchase of the entire aircraft kit,” comments Sonex Aircraft, LLC General Manager and CEO Jeremy Monnett. “This new discount incentive rewards those builders for taking the next step in purchasing all remaining Sub-Kits after they have had a chance to evaluate our Tail Kits and work with the industry-leading Sonex Plans.”

Sub-Kits allow potential builders to get started with a minimal initial investment and gives them a great opportunity to see for themselves the level of detail and simplicity designed into Sonex Aircraft. Potential builders may also evaluate Sonex Aircraft products by attending a Sonex Aircraft Builder’s Workshop. Sonex Builder Workshops are held several times per year at the Sonex Aircraft, LLC facilities in Oshkosh, WI. Workshop attendees get the opportunity to meet the Sonex staff, learn about the history of Sonex Aircraft design philosophy, learn all of the in’s and out’s of Sonex construction, and gain confidence in their own abilities as they build a sample piece of the Sonex wing to take home. The action-packed weekend workshops include informational sessions about design and engineering, engines, propellers, instruments, reading Sonex Aircraft plans, tools, key building tips, aircraft registration and insurance, flying Sonex Aircraft, and more.

Although Complete Airframe Kits offered for the Sonex, Waiex, and Xenos still offer the most cost-effective kit building option (Savings are realized in large kit discounts, incentives, and shipping costs for a one time purchase), Sonex Aircraft, LLC anticipates Sonex and Waiex Sub-Kits to be very popular.  For those builders who have much more time than money, or the desire to fabricate everything on the aircraft, "Scratch-Building" options will continue to be offered for the Sonex airframe as well.
