The fourth Sonex workshop was held last weekend, with attendees from Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada. These attendees got an inside look at the VW under development, along with both the 2200 and 3300 Jabirus that have flown on the Sonex. Thanks to all of the attendees who made it an extremely productive and fun weekend for all of us! Below is a good view of the required tools and a few shots of John Sell (#0097) and family and Mike Dean (#0140) constructing wing ribs and gussets.

Introducing.... A dual stick option for Sonex. This should provide more room in the cabin, with a minimal amount of added weight. All plans will include this option.

Wichai Laksanakorn (#60) came all the way from Thailand, and recieved a ride in the Jabiru 3300 Sonex.

The newest plan revision log has been released.

Finally, the long-anticipated 2180 Volkswagon tri-gear Sonex is nearing completion, and will be on display at this weekend's workshop, and should be flying in the next month, so keep your eye on this page for its development!

The first batch of Sonex Rotationally Molded Fuel Tanks arrived today. Weighing almost the same as aluminum fuel tanks, they easily withstood a pressure test of 10 psi, and offer significant increases in both safety and cost savings compared to aluminum tanks.

Also included is another shot of the shined-up Sonex with the 3300 Jabiru, and a look at our recently completed PA-15 Vagabonds. Everything is brand new on them, and one is still available for the right price.
